Japanese Food Craftsman Shop

Japanese Food Craftsman Shop grew out of a popular YouTube channel — and grew fast. The store quickly outpaced its original design, leaving the team patching issues one by one while the UI/UX and sales funnel fell behind what the business had become. They needed a real redesign, and moving from one theme to another touches everything — sections, settings, navigation, product templates — so it's easy to lose things along the way.

I helped them choose a theme that fit their products, then handled the theme-to-theme migration and redesign — including all the details that are easy to overlook when you're deep in running the business.

Because the store would be run in-house after launch, I made sure the team could actually run it — walking them through how to update and maintain the site and answering every question along the way. The handoff was as much a part of the project as the build.

A store that finally matches what the business has become — running on a theme the team updates and maintains themselves. The whack-a-mole patching stopped, and the handoff stuck.
